Who is jolasoul?

Trenton, New Jersey native, Joseph 'JoLaSoul' Wright, has a passion for creating art in photography, design and visuals. His passion started in the 3rd grade where he would draw Dragon Ball Z characters and over the years his talents would grow into creating in depth content that landed him a career at Black Entertainment Television (BET) as a content creator. It was a pleasure getting know what he does for living so I was interested in knowing a few things.

1. Who or what inspires your art?

A. Music is a big influence on my art. I work with a talented group of creatives who make music and as the visual guy, I'm always creating around the music I hear.

2. If you had the opportunity to show your art to anyone who will make you famous, who would it be and why?

A. I would say the artist is Pharrell Williams. His mind when it comes to music and art is amazing. I think if he saw something that connected to him he would do what's in his power to help your vision be recognized.

3. What current art trends are you following?

A. I think the main one I've been paying attention to is the Off-White Trend. The way Virgil designs his clothing and sneakers but using simpl shapes is pretty dope to me. It shows less can be more sometimes.
